Athletic Trainer – Hawaii Location / Professional Athlete

Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Kimo is 50/50’s Sports Performance Specialist Abroad. As an NSCA, Certified Personal Trainer since 2006, he has trained clients ranging from professional athletes to soccer moms.

“I enjoy working with anyone who has a particular goal in mind.  I find that people with goals tend to push through their mental and physical walls, which makes for a far more rewarding result.”

Kimo attended Bethel College in Newton, Kansas and studied Exercise Science. His personal experience as an athlete and dedicated passion towards Sports Performance through personal and professional endeavors, makes him a sought after trainer in the Honolulu area. Kimo embraces 50/50 Sports Performance philosophies and is the only trainer practicing and delivering this training in the Hawaiian Islands.

His accomplishments and accolades include:

  • kimo_detailCollegiate athlete voted Team Captain. Earned All-KCAC honors.
  • Professional athlete.  Played in the Arena Football League 2002-2009 earning All-AF2 honors in both 2004 and 2005.  I am blessed to have had the opportunity to live in different parts of the country (Hawaii, California, Colorado, Illinois, Texas and Iowa) which allowed for immense personal growth.
  • Football Special Teams Coach and Strength and Conditioning Coach, Saint Louis School, Honolulu, HI.  2010 High School State Champions. Re-constructed students weight training and conditioning programs for both in-season and off-season.
  • Owner of Grass Roots Kicking Hawaii, the first professional placekicking school in the state.  Specializing in proper technique and strength training to maximize results with any placekicker or punter.  Within its first year of existence, GRKH had produced 2 college scholarship athletes.
